Three minor boys drown in pond in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara: In a tragic incident, as many as three minor boys drowned in a pond in Bagapatia village under Rajnagar block of Odisha’s Kendrapara district, today.

According to reports, the three were taking bath in the water body with other children when the mishap took place at around 1 PM. They went deep into the pond and couldn’t come back.

Some villagers, who were alerted about the incident by other children, rushed to the spot and rescued the trio. They were initially rushed to Gupti Hospital and later shifted to Rajnagar Community Health Centre, where they were declared dead.

A pall of gloom descended on the village after the death of the boys.
