Three of Odisha family burnt alive in sleep

In a tragic incident, three members of a family were burnt alive at Deviduar in Odisha’s Jajpur district yesterday night after their house caught fire while they were asleep, police said.

Mother, son and daughter of a family were burnt alive while they were sleeping in their house. Though they were rushed to the nearby hospital by their neighbours, they were declared dead by the attending doctors, reports said.

However, the head of family (father) identified as Ananta Sahu was not present in his house at the time of the ablaze.

Suspecting his possible role in the incident, police has detained him for interrogations.
