Three youths held for rash driving in Odisha

Sundargarh, Mar 5:  

Three youths were arrested for rash driving and intimidating the police in Odisha’s Sundargarh town and forwarded to court today.

Sources said the Town Police, on night patrol on Wednesday, found three youths moving at a high speed in Yamaha FZ bike while blowing the horn continuously.

Police later chased and intercepted the youths and asked them about the rash driving. At this, the trio threatened them. As the police went to nab them, they ran away from the spot leaving the bike on the spot.

Police seized the bike and arrested them this morning.

The arrested have been identified as Santosh Sahu (19) from Rajbati area and Rehan Alam (19) and Ikram Khan (19) of Regent Market area of Sundargarh town.

While Santosh is a Matric dropout, Reham Alam is a Plus Two dropout and Ikram Khan is a Plus Two student of Sundargarh Government College.

“The arrested were later forwarded to the court in the afternoon Under section 294, 506, 353 and 34 of IPC and Section 184, 192 and 177 Under Motor Vehicle Act”, Town Police SI HK Behera, told OST.
