Thunderstorm and rainfall to lash 14 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm alert has been issued today for almost half of the coastal state of Odisha, according to the forecast by Regional Meteorological Department.

Moderate thunderstorm and lightning is likely in Angul, Baragarh, Boudh, Deogarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Sambalpur and Sundergarh.

Rainfall likely over several parts in Odisha ahead of Diwali

Odisha weather forecast: Thunderstorm, lightning in these districts till Aug 13

These areas will also experience light to moderate rainfall and gusty wind at 40 kmph as per the prediction of weathermen.

Such weather conditions are likely to prevail between 4 pm and 7 pm this evening.

Thunderstorm warning was also issued for Angul, Baragarh, Boudh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Sambalpur and Sundergarh, earlier today.
