Thunderstorm likely in nine Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and moderate rain in nine districts of Odisha.

The districts likely to be affected are Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Nayagarh and Cuttack.

“Latest doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied with  lightning and moderate rain  is likely to occur over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur,  Khurdha, Nayagarh and Cuttack  between 3.45 pm and 7.45 pm,” said a release issued by the IMD Regional Centre here.
