Thunderstorm may bring respite from heatwave in Odisha from April 17

Bhubaneswar: While Odisha has been reeling under blistering heatwave, thunderstorm may bring respite from the situation from April 17.

As per the Regional Meteorological Centre here, thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Khurda, Puri, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh and Kalahandi on April 17.

Similarly, thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Kandhamal on April 18, the Meteorological Centre added.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 2 days and slight fall thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperature (day temperature) very likely to be 40°C or more and above normal by 3-5°C at a few palaces over the districts of Odisha during the next 2 days.
