Thunderstorm may occur in these Odisha districts today 

Bhubaneswar: Amid blistering heat wave across Odisha, several districts may experience thunderstorm today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khurda and thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal, the Meteorological Centre predicted.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and at one or two places over the districts of south coastal Odisha, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput, it added.

Temperature forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 5 days. It is likely to be 42°C or more at a few places over some districts of interior Odisha (Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Balangir and Kalahandi).
