Total 347 candidates file nominations for second phase of polls in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A total of 347 candidates have filed nominations for the second phase of polls for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, official sources said.

Nominations for this phase ended on Tuesday.

Polling would be held for five Lok Sabha seats and 35 Assembly seats in the State on April 18. Aska, Bargarh, Bolangir, Kadhamal and Sundargarh Lok Sabha constitutes will go under polls in the second phase.

In all, as many as 302 candidates are in the fray for 35 Assembly seats while 45 for five Lok Sabha constituencies.

Odisha has 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly constituencies, which will face simultaneous polls in four phases from April 11.
