Agitation in Odisha, Gujarat affects train services

Bhubaneswar, Aug 27:

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) today cancelled and short terminated the services of three trains in Lanjigarh Road and Junagarh due to rail-roko in Kalahandi district.

According to an ECoR release, 18438/18437 Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road Express will remain cancelled today from Junagarh and tomorrow from Bhubaneswar.

18437 Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road Express scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar today will run up to Rayagada and will remain cancelled between Rayagada and Junagarh Rooad.

Similarly, 58207 Raipur-Junagarh Road passenger scheduled to leave Raipur today will run up to Lanjigarh Road and will return to Raipur on August 28 from Lanjigarh Road.

The services of Raipur-Junagarh Road-Raipur passenger will remain cancelled between Lanjigarh Road and Junagarh Road from both the directions, the release added.​

Besides, 19453 Gandhidham-Puri Express scheduled to leave Gandhidham and 12844 Ahmedabad-Puri Express scheduled to leave Ahmedabad on yesterday have been cancelled from Gandhidham & Ahmedabad respectively in view of agitation and violence in Gujarat.

As a result, 19454 Puri-Gandhidham Express & 12843 Puri-Ahmedabad Express Scheduled to leave Puri on August 29 will remain cancelled due to cancellation of link trains.
