The carrier is scheduled to launch its scheduled flight services from here from Oct 1 evening connecting Bhubaneswar with New Delhi.

“Air Vistara would run two flights on Oct 1 and then it will operate four flights from Oct 5. The four flights would include two in the morning and two in the evening. People will have options to travel to New Delhi from here. They can book tickets as per their affordability and timing of the flights,” BPIA Director Sharad Kumar said.

For this, the authorities of the Air Vistara took stock of the preparedness of services viz—check-in arrangements, generation of boarding pass, security check, loading and unloading of luggage and inspection of runway among others.

As per information provided by Bhubaneswar Airport authorities, Air Vistara will operate two flights daily from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi and back.

As per the schedule, a morning flight would take off from Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, New Delhi at 7.10 am and land in Bhubaneswar at 9.20 am. The same flight would take off from Bhubaneswar at 10 am and land at IGI Airport 12.10 pm on its return journey.

Similarly, a Bhubaneswar-bound evening flight would take off from New Delhi at 4.35 pm and land here at 6.45 pm. The same flight would fly from Bhubaneswar at 7.25 pm and arrive at IGI Airport at 9.35 pm.

It may be mentioned that Air Vistara, a joint venture of Tata Sons Ltd and Singapore Airlines, had introduced its first Airbus A320-200 single aisle aircraft in September last year and later obtained flying approval for Bhubaneswar-New Delhi operations from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
