Tribal girl gang-raped in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A tribal girl was allegedly gang-raped by 4-5 youths at Binjhabahal village under Telkoi police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

The victim along with her relatives and neighbours had gone to the village on March 28 night to watch a play during Pachu Dola celebrations in the locality.

Around 3 am, the girl went to attend nature’s call during which 4-5 youths forcibly took her to a nearby school playground where they raped the victim.

The girl lodged a complaint in this regard with the Telkoi police yesterday, following which a case was registered. An accused has been detained for questioning and raids were being conducted at various places to apprehend the wrongdoers, police sources said.
