Truck-bike collision in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj claims 2 lives, one critical

Betnoti: At least two persons died and another sustained critical injuries after a motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by a truck near Badadeulia under Baisinga police limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district today.

According to reports, a truck bearing registration no. 0D-11-8115 hit the two-wheeler on NH-18 resulting in death of one of them on the spot and another one at the Balasore district headquarters hospital.

The deceased were identified as Gura Singh and Shankar Singh. On the other hand, Rabindra Singh, the injured one, is undergoing treatment at hospital.

Police have started investigation into the incident after seizing the truck and the bike. A case has been registered in this connection on the basis of a complaint lodged by the uncle of Gura Singh.
