Two actor-turned politicians from Odisha join Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Giving further fillip to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Clean India’ campaign, Union minster of state for Petroleum & Natural Gas (Independent) Dharmendra Pradhan today nominated two actors-turned-politicians – Aparajita Mohanty and Siddhant Mohapatra -from Odisha to the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.

Besides, seven other prominent persoanlities have given their consent to join the nationwide cleanliness drive on Pradhan’s request. They include: youth icon and ace badminton star Saina Nehwal, tennis player Mahesh Bhupati, billiards player Pankaj Advani, Team India cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Bihar’s ‘Super 30’ founder Anand Kumar and social worker Kunal Kishore have also been nominated for the project.

The Union minister has expressed his gratitude to these eminent personalities, who have excelled in their respective fields, for joining the Prime Minister’s pet project.
