Local president of Bajrang Dal Jiten Singh and another person sustained injuries when three unidentified gunmen opened fire on them at the party’s office in Mandalia area in Brajrajnagar town in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district this afternoon.

Three unidentified gunmen opened four rounds of fire on Jiten Singh and another person. The miscreants fled the spot after firing on the two. While both Jiten and the other person have received bullet injuries, the condition of the other person is said to be critical, reports said.

Both have been admitted to the Central Hospital at Mandalia and are undergoing treatment, while police have begun investigating the incident, reports added.

However, the reason behind the firing is not yet known.
