Two children die in wall collapse in Odisha

Kuchinda, Aug 3:

Two children died after a portion of a wall of their house collapsed at Tabalakata village under Kuchinda police station limits in Odisha’s Sambalpur district this morning.

According to reports, two children were playing near a house in the morning when a portion of the clay wall of the house suddenly caved in and fell on them.

Following the incident, the villagers rushed the two children to Kuchinda sub divisional hospital where the doctors pronounced them as brought dead.

The deceased have been identified as Tarani Prusty, a five-year-old girl and Ranjan Sahu, an eight-year-old boy.

Police have lodged an unnatural death case.

There was incessant rain in Sambalpur district throughout the day under the influence of a Depression.

Most of the houses of Tabalakata village are made of clay.
