Two Forest staff injured in firing during night patrolling in Odisha’s Boudh

Boudh: As many as two Forest Department employees sustained bullet injuries as unidentified miscreants fired at the vehicle in which they were performing night patrolling duty in Odisha’s Boudh district, late last night.

According to reports, several staffers of the Forest Department led by ACF Ashish Kanhar were patrolling in Baghiapada area under Boudh Forest Range in an SUV.

At around 1.30 AM, the miscreants fired 4-5 rounds of bullets at the vehicle on Khaliapali Forest Road.

Watchers Nilanchal Pradhan (29) and Naba Kumar Sahu (23) were injured in the firing and admitted to the Boudh District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

Police have started an investigation into the incident while efforts were on by cops to identify and nab the attackers.
