Two killed, five hurt in road mishap in Odisha

Kendrapara, Mar 7: 

Two persons were killed and five others were injured when the van carrying them to a brick building unit near Paradip overturned near Haladiagada junction in Odisha’s Kendrapara district on the National Highway 5-A today, police said.

The deceased, both in their mid-thirties have been identified as Tukuna Mallick and Rudhia Singh, police added.

Police said the accident occurred when the van in which they were travelling was hit from the rear by a speeding ore-laden truck.

The injured were initially rushed to Kendrapara district headquarters hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack after their health condition worsened, police added.
