Two Odisha minors nabbed for murdering another minor

Two minor boys have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping and murder of a minor boy in Sundargarh district, police sources said today.

The local police arrested the duo and seized a firearm from their possession today.

The deceased is the son of a businessman—Mohanlal Dhanania—and was missing since November 15, reports said.

Following the minor’s sudden disappearance, the parents lodged a missing complaint with the local police. However, the body was traced to Ramlata forest on November 20. Kansabahal police had recovered a body of a minor from Ramlata forest. The family members of the missing boy identified the body and informed this to the Rajgangpur police.

Meanwhile, police have sent the body for post mortem to get further leads pertaining to the case. They are interrogating the minors to unearth the motive of the crime and possible involvement of others in the incident.
