Two sisters drown in village pond

Salepur, Mar 9:

In a tragic incident two sisters were drowned in a pond in Apilo village under Mahanga block in Odisha’s Kendrapara district, today. The elder sister was drowned while trying to save her younger sister who had slipped into the pond while  playing near it.

The sisters who were studying in class III and VI have been identified as Priyanka Sahu (8) and Rashmita Sahu (11), local sources said.
