The two persons, who have received injuries on their head and body parts, were identified as Banabihari Palata and Jayaram Nayak working as Moharir and Stamp Vendor in the Tehsil office respectively.

The injured persons were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

One of the injured persons said while they were working, all of a sudden a portion of the roof fell down on them. They escaped major injury as only some small parts of the roof particles hit them on their body parts.

The tehsil employee said the higher authorities had been informed about the urgent need for repair of the building several times, but to no avail.

OST’s efforts to contact the tehsildar proved futile.
