Two test positive for COVID-19 in Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Maiden cases of COVID-19 were reported from Odisha’s Sundargarh as two of the four persons who tested positive for the virus in the state yesterday are residents of Bisra area in the district, informed local administration today.

Preliminary probe revealed that the duo has Nizamuddin link, it said. Senior officials of the district administration and police reached the locality this morning and initiated process for sealing the area to contain spread of COVID-19.

Worth mentioning, number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha rose to 54 as four persons tested positive for the virus yesterday. The number of active cases stood at 41 as 12 persons have been cured and discharged from hospitals while an elderly man had died of novel coronavirus.
