Two trains cancelled after goods train derails in Odisha’s Koraput
A team of experts reportedly are expected to arrive soon to ascertain the cause of the derailment.
Koraput: Railway traffic was disrupted and two trains cancelled after six wagons of a goods train derailed near Suku station in Odisha’s Koraput district here today.
The derailment was reported around six kilometers from Koraput railway station leading to cancellation of two passenger trains plying on the route.
As per reports, the train was heading from Kirandul in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district to Visakhapatnam when the bogeys derailed. While no casualty has been reported till now, two passenger trains running between Jagdalpur and Visakhapatnam were canceled after the incident.
Meanwhile, a team of experts reportedly are expected to arrive soon to ascertain the cause of the derailment. Restoration work was underway till reports last came in.
