Uber car looted at gunpoint in Odisha capital

Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted an Uber car (OD02AB-6629) after threatening the driver of the vehicle at gunpoint on Bharatpur-Chandaka road on the outskirts of Odisha capital last night.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged by the driver of the car with Khandagiri police.

According to reports, Dillip Kumar Pradhan, the driver hailing from Balipahada village under Baideswar police limits in Cuttack district, picked up a passenger namely Dinesh from near SUM Hospital at around 11 PM.

While the car was on the way to Bharatpur, three miscreants intercepted the vehicle and threatened the driver at gunpoint.

They dragged him outside the car and thrashed him as he protested the act.

In the meantime, Dinesh, apprehending trouble, fled the spot. Through two of the miscreants chased him but in vain.

On the other hand, the driver pushed the other miscreant and escaped from the spot.

Later, the miscreants decamped with the car.
