‘Udaan’ organizes state-level conference on women’s rights

Cuttack: ‘Udaan’, a non-profit organization working for the rights of women and children and on environmental issues, organized a State-level conference today at a private hotel in Cuttack on occasion of the International Women’s Day in which around 200 women delegates attended.

Rashmi Singh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Ananya Das, CMC Commissioner; Manika Nielsen, Chief of Unicef Odisha; Dr Leena Das, Department of Paediatrics and Dr. Krishna Kaveri Pattnaik, MS attended as the Guests of Honour. Monica Nayyar Pattnaik, Chairperson of FICCI, Odisha Council attended as the Chief Speaker.

A panel discussion on ‘Women’s Rights and Opportunities’ was held followed by an open-house discussion.

The Chief Guest said women should come forward to fight for their rights.

Namita Uttaray performed Odissi dance during the programme. Also, three women Covid warriors from the fields of Health, Municipality and Police were felicitated for their excellent work done during Covid time. Geeta Panigrahi, CEO of Udaan conducted the programme.
