The 33 children took the flight to Kolkata on Saturday, undertook a city tour there and flew back to Bhubaneswar same day by evening. These children, being flown by Indigo Airlines to Kolkata, where Kolkata Round Table 227, the local partner of BRT 53, planned a tour of the local amusement park , kids zone and a 3D movie show in a shopping mall, meal at Mc Donald’s.

Our endeavor is to give these underprivileged children, the experience of their lives, which not only gives them happiness and joy but more importantly an event which can act as a catalyst of hope for their future, to ingrain the idea of ‘IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING’ in their young minds, in other words we are trying to give wings to their dreams, a member of round table said.

“Flight of Fantasy” is one of BRT 53’s flagship charitable events. It takes children from an impoverished background for a one day tour.

In previous years we have taken children to Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, New Delhi and Kolkata with support from the tables of the touring cities, he added.

It may be noted here that Round Table India has built 1500 schools benefiting lakhs of children across India under its long term project Freedom through Education” in last decade. Bhubaneswar Round Table (BRT 53), a part of Round Table India, has been actively associated with a number of noble causes (Bhima Bhoi Blind School/ RAWA Academy/ Food Relief Operations/ slum Schools etc) and has completed two school buildings in Bhubaneswar and Nayagarh.
