Undertrial prisoner escapes from court premises in Odisha

Rayagada: An undertrial prisoner accused in a car loot case escaped from Rayagada court premises today.

Amit Besra, who was arrested three months ago over his alleged involvement in looting a car from a couple at Huma Ghat here, was today brought to the court by police for hearing.

However, he gave the police a slip and fled the spot

Efforts are on to trace and nab him, police sources said.
