A meeting the yoga guru’s close aide Ved Pratap Vaidik held with Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed has stirred a controversy.

As soon as the house met for the day, opposition leaders from the Congress, Left parties, Janata Dal-United (JD-U), Trinamool Congress and others created a ruckus in the house, demanding a clarification from the government.

Chairman M. Hamid Ansari’s repeated pleas to resume the question hour were not heeded to, and in the din the chairman first adjourned the house for 15 minutes, and then till 12 noon.
