Varun Dhawan grieves death of his driver Manoj Sahu from Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has penned an emotional note expressing grief over the demise of his driver Manoj Sahu (47) from Odisha.

Sahu hailed from Kalatangara village under Hindol block in Dhenkanal district. He is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.

Taking to Instagram, Varun wrote, “Manoj has been in my life for the last 26 years. He was my everything. I have no words to express my grief but all I want is people remember him for his amazing wit, humour and passion he had for life. I will always be grateful I had you in my life Manoj dada.”

Varun also shared a throwback video of unveiling of his wax statue at Madame Tussauds, in which he can be heard saying, “Actually the person who always has my back is my driver Manoj. It’s a fact. Manoj has worked with me for years and always had my back.”

The video then shows Manoj joining Varun. The actor kept his hand on his shoulder, welcomed him and said, “He has been with me throughout my entire journey.”

Sahu died on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack. At the time of the incident, Varun was shooting at the Mehboob Studio in Bandra.

Sahu was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, where the doctors declared him dead.

He was a trusted driver of the Dhawan family for many years.
