Vehicle knocks biker to death, locals block road in Odisha’s Rayagada

Rayagada, Oct 12:

A person was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle at Kaliaguda under Tikiri police limits in Odisha’s Rayagada district today.

The deceased was identified as Bibhisana Nayak, sources said.

According to reports, the accident took place when Nayak was returning home on a bike after shopping from Tikiri market. The vehicle hit the bike following which Nayak died on the spot.

Tension gripped the spot following the incident as irate locals blocked the Tikiri Alumina road demanding compensation for the family members of the deceased. Vehicular movement was disrupted on the road for a while.
