[Viral Video] Bride thrashed by family members as she calls off wedding in Odisha

Balasore: Family members of a bride thrashed her at the mandap as she called off the wedding at the last moment at Remu village under Baliapal police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district. Multiple videos of the incident have gone viral on various social media platforms.

According to reports, kin of the girl had fixed her marriage with a person against her wish.

On the day of the marriage, the girl called off the wedding by removing bangles from her hands at the mandap. She was seen refusing to marry the groom saying that she has already married someone else.

Tension ran high at the spot following the incident as family members of the bride thrashed the girl and forced her to sit at the mandap for completion of the remaining rituals.

On the other hand, the groom fell unconscious after the shocking revelation by the bride. He was seen being rescued by his relatives.
