Votes cast in two panchayats of Odisha’s Malkangiri after 15 years

Political parties might be concerned about the outcome of the panchayat polls in Odisha but ballot registered a clear win over bullet today as voters of two panchayats in Malkangiri district cast their votes after 15 long years which they hadn’t done for over a decade in Maoist fear.

People of Marigeta and Badigeta panchayats under Kalimela block in the district took part in the panchayat elections by exercising their franchise at booths amid tight security.

Drone cameras were seen hovering above and around polling booths in the block as a part of security measures.
