[WATCH] Javelin thrower Neeraj’s underwater shadow practice

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: India’s Golden boy Neeraj Chopra can’t think of anything else other than javelin. Even while being in deep water Neeraj was seen doing shadow practice of his moves.

In a video posted by the Tokyo Olympic Gold medallist on social media, he can been seen wearing underwater gear and shadow practicing javelin throw.

In Twitter, he shared a video and posted a message, “Aasman par, zameen pe, ya underwater, I’m always thinking of the javelin! PS: Training shuru ho gayi hai.”

At the Tokyo Olympics, Neeraj clinched the gold with an attempt of 87.58 metres. He became only the second Indian after Abhinav Bindra to win an individual gold medal at the Olympics. Moreover, Neeraj is the first to bag the yellow metal for the country in a track and field event at the quadrangular games.

Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch bagged silver medal in the javelin throw event with a throw of 86.67m. His compatriot Vitezslav Vesley took bronze medal with a throw of 85.44m.

At Tokyo Games, India won seven medals – one in athletics, one in hockey, one in boxing, one in badminton, two in wrestling and one in weightlifting.
