Watch: Man kicked off flight for wearing women’s underwear as face mask

Fort Lauderdale/Bhubaneswar: A man in the United States of America was kicked off a flight for wearing women’s underwear as a face mask.

The incident reportedly took place on December 17. As per footage shared on social media, a man named Adam Jenne wore a pink thong over his face instead of a mask on a flight that was scheduled to take off from Fort Lauderdale to Washington.

“You’re going to have to come off the plane. We’re not going to let you travel,” a flight attendant could be heard saying in the video that has since gone viral on social media.

Mr Jenne, a Florida native, argued with the attendant who insisted that he was not in mask compliance.

When the 38-year-old Jenne was removed from the flight, fellow passengers offered him their support and soon started disembarking from the flight.

“Did he just get kicked off for wearing a mask. I’m out of here, forget it. I’m out of here,” a passenger was heard saying.

Speaking to media personnel later, Mr Jenne claimed that he pulled the stunt to shed light on the ‘absurdity’ of mask rules on flights.

“There’s nothing more absurd than having to wear a mask until I get to cruising altitude so that I can order Tito’s by the double and snack on pretzels, and illustrating that absurdity by wearing women’s underwear on my face sounds perfect,” he said.

United Airlines have clearly mentioned on their website that masks should be able to fully cover an individual’s mouth and nose, a condition that Mr Jenne insists that his women’s underwear met.
