Boudh: Music does not have any particular language. It’s an emotion. And, this 12-year-old boy of Odisha’s Boudh district has rightly proved it through beatboxing.

Jagannath Nayak, a Class 7 Khatakhatia Nodal Upper Primary School in Kantamal block, has rhythm in his blood and is making mind-blowing music with his hands and mouth. The kid became an internet sensation and getting applause from everyone after a video of his beatboxing went viral on social media.

He started with his hands to imitate the sounds of Mrudanga played by his father and without any training he devolved his skills enthusing people from all quarters. Besides emulating drum beats, the 12-year-old kid also creates his own composition that can certainly challenge many professionals of his genre.

Jagannath said his father and school Headmaster Sameer Pradhan is encouraging him to further excel his ‘exceptional’ skill.

“We came to know about Jaga’s skill through a cultural event on extra co-curricular activities. We also give him opportunities to promote his skill by organising special programmes on every Saturday. I am proud of him and wish, he excels in this field beside studies,” said the Principal.
