Watch: PM Modi interacts with Odisha’s Rayagada people on Rural Electrification

Bhubaneswar: As a part of his interaction with people across the country over Rural Electrification, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with some villagers of Odisha’s Rayagada district through video conference.

Conversing with the PM, Lalita Nayak and Narayan Nayak of the district said children of their villages had never seen what electricity is. However, they now have access to many facilities after electrification in their villages, they said to Modi.

“Our village is located near a hill. Earlier, snakes and frogs used to enter our houses during night due to lack of light. Post electrification, we are leading a safe life without fear. Besides, we can now watch movies on televisions. We also watched live telecast of Ratha Jatra of Lord Jagannath this year,” said Narayan.
