[WATCH] Two-year-old girl offers tributes to martyred father

Malkangiri: A heartrending video is doing rounds on social media in which a two-year-old girl child was paying tributes to her martyred father at a bordering village in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. In the video, it was seen the girl child was kissing the bust statue of her martyred father and Police Sub Inspector, Mulchand Kumar and offering flowers and sweets.

The girl child has never seen her father, Mulchand, in person as she was in her mother’s womb when her father was martyred while fighting with naxals on January 24, 2018. In Mulchand’s memory, residents of Ghanadabari village had set up his bust statue. On the occasion of Mulchand’s birth anniversary on December 13, his widow and daughter paid the tributes.

The girl grew up seeing his father’s photo. But when the kid saw the bust statue of her father, she thought it to be real and offered sweets and kissed it.
