Watch Video: COVID vaccination under open sky in Odisha’s Balangir

Bhubaneswar: While the Odisha Government has been claiming smooth conduct of COVID-19 vaccination across the state, scenes from Brahmani Dunguri village of Balangir district speak otherwise.

According to reports, locals were vaccinated under open sky in the village due to lack of space at the Anganwadi centre, where the vaccination drive was scheduled to be conducted.

The Anganwadi workers kept the centre locked even after arrival of the medical team in the village as edibles like eggs and sattu were stored there.

Optionless, the team carried out the vaccination on roadside in the locality.

Worth mentioning, such vaccination was violation of the guidelines issued by the government as provisions of waiting rooms, vaccination rooms and observation rooms are must for administration of the COVID-19 vaccine.
