Bhubaneswar: It was a joyous moment for Odisha’s Golden Boy Pramod Bhagat as Sachin Tendulkar gifted him the jersey worn by the cricket legend in his 200th and final Test match.
“My adrenaline was running high while opening the gift sent to me by my idol Sachin Tendulkar Sir, he stole my heart yet again by gifting me the Jersey worn by him in his 200th Test match for India, words are falling short to express my joy and happiness. Thank you Sir Sachin Tendulkar for this wonderful gift,” wrote Bhagat on Instagram.

Recently, Bhagat made the entire nation proud by clinching Gold medal in Tokyo Paralympics 2020 in badminton men’s singles SL3.
Few days ago, Bhagat had met Tendulkar and expressed immense happiness. He described the meeting as a childhood dream coming true. “I can’t believe how happy I am today. As a kid, I took inspiration from Sir Sachin Tendulkar for always being positive and motivated. I always imagined that I would get a chance one day to meet you. I also wished that day should come post the biggest achievement of my life and God aligned all the stars for me,” wrote Bhagat on Instagram.
“I won the Paralympics Gold. The joy of medal hadn’t even settled that I got a chance to meet you. I was falling short of words at start as I couldn’t believe I was sitting next to you. Your kindness is heart touching,” he posted.
“The words you spoke to me will stay with me forever and will keep inspiring me for life. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be sleepless tonight,” he added.
