Rayagada: In an unfortunate incident, two men were stuck in Nagavali river in Odisha’s Rayagada district today while they were clicking selfie.
On being informed about the incident, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and initiated an operation to rescue the duo.
According to reports, the two from Podapadi area under Kashipur block of the district had come to visit the place with their family members. While the family members were at the shore, the two were clicking selfies in the riverbed as the level of water was low.
In the meantime, the water level increased rapidly due to incessant rainfall in the upper catchment areas, leaving the two stranded on a rock.
They were later rescued by the Fire Services personnel who managed to provide them life jacket and rope during the rescue operation.
