Weather Alert ! Heavy rainfall to lash these Odisha districts in next two days

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall may lash several parts of the State in next two days, a weather bulletin released by Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said today.

The regional meteorological centre has issued orange warning for 17 districts where heavy rainfall likely to occur today and tomorrow morning.

Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of May 14) :

Orange Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph likely at isolated places over the districts of Khordha, Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada.

Heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jajpur and Bhadrak districts during the period.

Yellow warning: Thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri.

Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of May 14 upto 8.30 AM of May 15) :

Yellow warning : Thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places over the districts of Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.
