Weather Alert: Rainfall in several Odisha districts for next 2 days; Yellow Warning issued

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here today predicted rainfall activities in parts of several districts across the state over the next two days.

The Regional MeT Centre also issued Yellow Warning for as many  as 10 districts, including Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Balasore for tomorrow. However,  there will be no large change in the minimum (night) temperature over the districts of Odisha for the next four to five days.

As per the latest bulleting issued by the weathermen, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj till 8.30 am  of February 25.

Besides, dry weather is likely to prevail over he rest districts.

Issuing Yellow Warning, the weathermen predicted that thunderstorm with lighting is very is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore from 8.30 am of February 25 to 8.30 am of February 26. 

During the period, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore and at one or two places over the rest districts of north Odisha, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri and Ganjam. Besides, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts.

From 8.30 am of February 25 up to 8.30 am of February 26, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal. And, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts, the weather bulletin read.
