Bhubaneswar: Several places in Odisha are likely to witness thunderstorm and lightning during next 24 hours as the yellow warning has been issued for coastal, north coastal and southern districts.

According to regional meteorological centre of IMD, Thunderstorm with lightening and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj between today and tomorrow morning.

Similarly, Thunderstorm with lightening very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal,
Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur during the period.

Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar MeT has forecast moderate rainfall and thunderstorm for many districts from today till April 6 morning.

As the weathermen, Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and at a few places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha from today till tomorrow morning.

April 2-3: Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada.

April 3-4: Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara.

April 4-5: Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada.

April 5-6: Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Nabarangpur.
