Acting on allegation of amassing assets disproportionate to known sources of income, Odisha Vigilance sleuths today conducted raids at offices and houses of Manual Assistant of Weights & Measures Department, Nabaghana Swain.

According to reports, simultaneous raids were conducted at Swain’s three houses in Bhadrak, office and government quarters in Paradip.

This apart, Vigilance teams, led by DSP Sabita Majhi and SK Bhoi, raided Swain’s ancestral home at Kuansa, a building at Basudevpur, and in-law’s house at Garadapur in Chandbali block.

Properties worth over Rs 50 lakh have been traced during the raids, sources said.
