Western Odisha continues to battle heat wave as humidity levels come down

Bhubaneswar, June 14:

While the heat wave continued in most parts of the western Odisha districts, there was some respite at last from the high humid conditions which came down sharply on Saturday.

Sun  HeatAt 44 degree Celsius, Sambalpur and Talcher were the hottest places  in the state today.

In a release here this evening, the local Met office said temperature would come down further in the state in the next 24 hours with the increase in rainfall from June 17 onward.

While temperature in most places in the coastal districts remained under 40 degree Celsius, it went up to 40 degree or more in 10 places in the western districts. .
