Bhubaneswar: The Wildlife Cell of the Odisha Crime Branch (CB) has seized contraband wildlife products in Bargarh town area and arrested three persons in this connection, informed Crime Branch Special DG Bijay Kumar Sharma in series of tweets today.
In a joint operation with Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, New Delhi, the CB seized ivory, pangolin scales and bear nails from three accused, Sharma tweeted.
The seized products are covered in Schedule 1 of Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, he added.
While two of the accused hail from Chhatisgarh, the third accused is a local and came to Bargarh reportedly for selling the products, he informed.
A case has been registered into the incident.
