The 3-month-long program was launched at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), the faculty of engineering of SOA University, on Monday with experts from the company taking the students through their paces through a variety of training programs and online tests.

Wipro Technologies sources said that it was for the first time in the country that the entire 3-month-long program was being held in an engineering college instead of the company’s own campus. Almost 90 per cent of the 145 selected students are from ITER. It may be noted that Wipro recruited 381 B.Tech and MCA students of ITER in the campus recruitment drive at ITER from September 15-17, 2014 who will be graduating in May 2015.

On the first day, Manish Marathe of Wipro Technologies trained the students in the presence of Dr RK Hota, Additional Dean of ITER.
