Woman, 2 kids found dead inside well in Odisha

Jeypore: In a heartrending incident, a woman and her two children including an infant were found dead in a well in Ward-13 under Kotpad NAC of Koraput district today. However, police have detained the husband of the 21-year-old deceased woman and are interrogating him in this connection.

Sources said the couple often gets into quarrel over family issues and the woman used to visit her parents house every time they fight. The family dispute has worsened during the lockdown due to acute poverty.

Yesterday, the couple again got indulged in a fight following which she left the house carrying her 8-month-old girl and two-year-old son. This morning, bodies of all three of them were found in a common well at the village.

Informed by locals, police reached and detained the husband for interrogation.
