Woman, baby boy killed as car falls into gorge in Odisha

Angul: In a tragic incident, a woman and her two-year-old son were killed in a car accident near Atharaphutia under Thakurgarh police limits in Odisha’s Angul district today.

The deceased were identified as Manorama Biswal (28) and her son Ayush, residents of Tabeda village in the district.

Dhiren Biswal (42), the woman’s husband, sustained critical injuries in the mishap and was hospitalised.

According to reports, the car in which the trio was travelling lost balance and fell into a roadside gorge killing the mother-son duo on the spot.

Locals staged road blockade at Atharaphutia demanding compensation for family of the deceased.
