Woman, daughter murdered inside house in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A woman and her daughter were allegedly killed inside their house by unidentified miscreants at Shankarpur village under Champua police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district last night.

The deceased have been identified as Saraswati Munda and her 7-year-old daughter.

According to reports, the murderers barged into the house by breaking the door when the woman, her daughter and 5-year-old son were sleeping. They killed the mother-daughter duo and fled the spot.

Police have recovered the bodies for post-mortem and initiated an investigation. Sources said the woman’s husband is currently lodged in jail in connection with a murder case.
