Woman found dead inside Dhanbad Express toilet in Bhubaneswar was murdered

Bhubaneswar: A woman, who was found dead inside toilet of Dhanbad Express at Bhubaneswar Railway Station on April 20, was murdered, revealed a post-mortem report.

Though, the GRP is yet to ascertain identity of the deceased woman, the post-mortem report indicated that she was killed inside the train while travelling from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar. However, the exact time and place of murder is still obscure.

According to autopsy report, the woman was murdered within 24 to 34 hours of post-mortem.

The woman had boarded the Dhanbad Express at 11.00 PM on April 19 in Rourkela. The next day, her body was found inside the train at 12.00 PM. The post-mortem was conducted on April 21.

After examining the timing and other aspects of the CCTV footage, the police have arrived at the exact timing of the murder.

As the identity of the deceased woman has not been found yet, two teams of the GRP will visit Rourkela and contact all the police stations to find out identity of the woman.

The reason behind murder will come to light after her identity is found, the GRP official said.

According to reports, the Dhanbad Express had been sent to washing wagon for cleaning after the train reached the Bhubaneswar Railway Station at around 8.00 AM on April 20. At around 12.00 PM, a sanitation worker found the body lying in a pool of blood inside a toilet while he was cleaning S-5 coach. Immediately, he informed the Bhubaneswar GRP about it following which the body was recovered.
